Lisa LaMontagne MacGillivray is a public relations professional with more than two decades of experience in developing and executing successful national media relations campaigns within the hospitality and consumer products spaces.
In 2005, Lisa joined her industry colleague Marlo Fogelman at her nascent business and initially wore a number of hats from account management to new business and agency promotion. In 2009, she moved into a Managing Director’s role overseeing the growing Restaurant, Travel and Hospitality team. As the RTH team evolved, so has her position as EVP of the practice where she provides high-level strategy and guidance to a team of publicists managing some of the best restaurants and hotels in New England and beyond.
Prior to joining marlo marketing, Lisa ran her own public relations practice representing hospitality clients including The Colonnade Hotel, Brasserie Jo, Wequassett Inn Resort and Golf Club, and Oldways Preservation & Exchange Trust. She also has extensive experience promoting cookbooks, working in conjunction with YC Media, a New York City public relations firm, on cookbook publicity campaigns.
Before that she was at Kratz & Jensen in New York, where she served as an Account Supervisor on national consumer and trade media relations. Her clients included Starbucks Coffee Company (National Account), Rémy Martin Cognac, The Macallan Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, The Boston Beer Company and St. Francis Vineyards & Winery. As part of these campaigns, she planned and executed extensive media tours and proprietary special events programs.
Lisa began her career in the consumer division at Bishoff Solomon Communications, a Boston-based public relations firm. In this capacity, she managed a public relations team that worked on behalf of clients including Starbucks Coffee Company (New England Region), Legal Sea Foods, Boston’s Fourth of July and the Yankee Candle Company. In her role as Group Manager, she developed media relations programs aimed at increasing local, regional and national awareness.
Originally from Cape Cod, Lisa received her BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and her MS from Boston University. A self-professed fan of great food & wine, Lisa has become an avid runner to work-off those regular three-course meals. She’s completed one New York Marathon and two Boston Marathons. She lives with her husband and three sons in Hingham, MA.
