I’ve blogged about dream jobs ranging from sleep intern to cat caretaker in paradise over the last few months, but I think this latest one takes the cake: puptern!

The restaurant MUTTS Canine Cantina is accepting applications for a professional puppy petter for its new location in Fort Worth, Texas. First off, this restaurant sounds amazing: it’s a dog-friendly restaurant, beer and wine garden, and dog park all in one. Secondly, you can get paid big bucks for doing something I would do for free: $100 per hour (plus food and drink from the restaurant) to play with dogs all day.

There are a few requirements. For starters, you can’t have any canine allergies (which is pretty obvious, if you ask me) and you have to be at least 18 years old. As the restaurant is in Fort Worth, the puptern has to be able to commute to the restaurant for the job. The puptern will be expected to work six to eight weeks through the fall and winter seasons for up to four hours a week – that means a lucky person will be paid up to $3,200 for this very ruff job.

So, if you’re now wondering how to apply, just head on over to Instagram, follow @MuttsCantina and post a photo or video showcasing your qualifications to be the best puptern. Make sure you tag the restaurant and use the hashtag #MUTTSpuptern in the caption. And that’s it! I know I’m already envious of whoever gets this pawsition!
