2nd Annual ‘A Taste of Dorchester’
Taste of the Nation, Taste of the South End, North End, Back Bay…the list goes on! However, coming up in a couple weeks is the 2nd Annual Taste of Dorchester to benefit Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance. Though still emerging (even my Dot-loving friends will admit the dining options are lacking), there are some highlights. I just recently visited Chris Douglas at the uber-charming Ashmont Grill (he’s also the owner of Tavolo), D Bar is always fun (especially if you’re in the mood for a gay tea dance) and driving down the main drag I spotted a number of very cool looking mom n’ pop kitchens with some serious Banh Mi potential.
The low ticket price ($35) and free event parking sweetens the pot even further. Give Dorchester a taste, why don’t you!
