Baby, It’s Cold Outside…

Today, we’re inviting everyone to spend their day at Franklin Park Zoo for FREE!  On one of the coldest days we’ve had in awhile, the Zoo’s indoor Tropical Forest is a little 72 degree year-round oasis in the middle of the city.

If you’ve never been to the Tropical Forest, it’s definitely worth the quick drive, only 7 miles from Boston. It has one of the most innovative and intimate indoor gorilla exhibits in the world. Guests can stand face-to-face with the gorilla family at each of the five glass viewing stations. This building is also home to numerous free-flight tropical birds, a warthog, ocelots, pottos, mandrills, tapirs, ring-tailed lemurs and a pygmy hippopotamus. So forget the fires and hot toddies…a trip to FPZ is the way to stay ‘hot’ this winter!

Free admission: Friday, January 16, 2009

10AM – 4PM (Franklin Park Zoo’s winter hours)
