Be Still My Womb

Though I make no bones about my stance on having babies at twenty-something-years-old, this video of a gorilla tot taking its first steps has my uterus in uncontrollable spasms. A few months ago, cameras at the London Zoological Society captured Baby Tiny teetering haphazardly under his mother’s protective gaze (strangely, Tiny’s foray into bipedalism bears a striking similarity to my first run-in with a tequila bar). But seriously, how could this video not make your heart melt?

At this point, Tiny’s probably running around like he owns the place. One thing I know…his first steps will forever own my heart. But, for now, I’ll settle with stalking Kiki’s baby, Kambiri, at Franklin Park Zoo.
