CariDee English visits the mm/c suite

On a snowy New Year’s Eve day, I had the pleasure of meeting the former winner of America’s Next Top Model, CariDee English. At marlo marketing/communications, we have a celebrity gift suite, The Suite, where we invite celebrities who are visiting Boston to stop by our offices and enjoy free products, clothes, jewelry, etc. in exchange for signing swag that we can donate to local non-profits to support their fundraising efforts. In the midst of a blistery December snowstorm, mm/c opened our doors to CariDee and her agent, Kyle.

I must admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect when a tall, striking blond stepped off the elevator and into the warmth of our Boylston Street office. Still covered in snow, CariDee was everything that a model should be. Effortless yet glamorous, stylish yet unintimidating, she was a beautiful oxymoron. Caridee radiated a bright and cheerful personality…the kind of personality that instantly made you fall in love with her.

Dressed in a fitted Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket, sleek, black liquid leggings & a cozy grey sweater, she quickly made herself at home in The Suite. Squealing with delight over innovative items like the Booty Pop Panties and the RhythmBRA, beauty products from Dermelect Cosmeceuticals and The Body Deli , and jewelry from M. Flynn she quickly began filling her complimentary “The Suite” tote bag with goodies. As she tested products and tried on jewelry, she easily laughed and spoke about her delayed flight to Boston and the frigid temperatures outside. It soon became an everyday conversation…with a Cover Girl.

What I liked most about CariDee was her down-to-earth persona. After brushing arms with catwalk stars like Tyra Banks and gracing the covers of magazines like Seventeen, CariDee acted more like the girl next door than the girl on the cover of a magazine. It was refreshing to see that the glitz and glam of Hollywood hasn’t affected her small-town North Dakota roots.

After her visit to The Suite, I escorted CariDee and Kyle to the offices of Moore Massage. Trudging down snow-covered streets with their luggage in tow, laughter filled the city sidewalks. At Moore Massage, I bid my goodbyes and left them to enjoy their massages and a day in the city.

I walked back to mm/c, blinded by falling snowflakes but smiling all the way.
