Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget

Like any 20-something girl, I try to budget my paycheck accordingly. Rent, bills, food, designer clothes… etc. Oh, you mean designer clothes isn’t a normal thing to budget for? Well, shocker! But it’s not really in mine either. While I admit, I probably do spend a *little* too much on my wardrobe, it’s a lot easier to spend money when you know you’re getting high fashion designs for a fraction of the price. No, I’m not talking about flash sale sites (even though I’ve been known to buy a thing or two on HauteLook), I’m talking about all the designer collaborations hitting affordable stores this spring! I break down the ones I’m most looking forward to below:

Mayhem x J. Crew

You remember Mayhem, that adorable little girl who designs paper dresses? Well her paper dresses are now coming to life in cloth form for her upcoming collaboration with J.Crew. Expect frills, rainbows and embellishments galore.

Milly x Kohl’s

High end designer Milly follows the likes of Derek Lam and Peter Som when collaborating with Kohl’s this spring. With these patterned frocks, crop tops and geometric sunnies, this collaboration brings fashion forward style at affordable prices.

Lilly Pulitzer x Target

While Lilly’s preppy prints aren’t for everyone, this collaboration brings more than just colorful clothes, including home accessories, beach towels and more. These pastel creations are perfect for a springtime refresher in anyone’s closet.

So when you see me walking around with what you *think* to be a $400 Milly dress, do me a favor and just pretend I paid full price 😉
