Don’t Sweat It (Or Do!)

Times are stressful and it’s easy to feel helpless in all this uncertainty. The one thing we can control, however, is our reaction to stress. By taking care of ourselves physically, we can alleviate some of the strain we feel mentally.
But what if your favorite gym is closed indefinitely? I was torn up when my workout routine went from 100 to zero real quick. I was worried I’d have to take up running or troll YouTube for hours trying to find something to fill the void. Thankfully, the fitness community in Boston (and throughout the country) is unreal! Many instructors have been dedicating their time inside to helping us get our sweat on from the comfort of our own homes.
Here are my favorite workouts being streamed for free:
Time for a dance break! 305Fitness is hosting live classes on their YouTube channel twice a day, at 12pm and 6pm. Can’t make those times? Don’t sweat it — they upload each class to their channel so you can boogie whenever, wherever.
Looking for an intense workout? EBF’s got you covered! They’ve been going live on Instagram several times a day with classes for every type of workout. We’re talking cardio, bags, full body workouts and more. Check out their website for a full schedule.
With a near cult-like following, Barry’s is a class so many of my friends can’t live without. Luckily, they’re streaming multiple 20-minute workouts every day on Instagram Live. Check their stories for class times.
Radiant Yoga Boston
Sometimes you just need to stretch it out. Radiant Yoga Boston has been going live on Facebook with some serious yoga flows. Find your center, take a moment, and breathe through it.
So, try out a new gym or stick to your tried and true. Whatever your workout of choice, a little physical activity is sometimes all we need to clear our heads and boost our moods during these trying times.
