Drake With The Mic Drop Moment
Drake, Drizzy, Champagne Papi, whatever you want to call him… he’s one of the most popular hip-hop artists today. He also has cultivated a reputation as being quite the sensitive and emotional rapper. So it’s really no surprise that the man formally and legally known as Aubrey Drake Graham paused in the middle of a recent concert to stand up for some of his female fans.
From his viewpoint on the stage, Drake noticed that a male attendee appeared to be groping women in the audience. Upon noticing the inappropriate and unwanted touching, the singer promptly called out the man in front of everyone. His exact words? ““If you don’t stop touching girls, I’m gonna come out there and f*** you up, bruh,” as was captured in video taken by the crowd. He continued: “I’m not playing with you. If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m gonna come out there and f*** your ass up.”
Damn. Watch below to see that he was not messing around:
"Stop touching girls." A video of Drake performing in Sydney has gone viral after he stopped his set to call out an audience member for groping. The rapper told his DJ to cut the music and threatened to "come down" if the man didn't stop. He's received a lot of love on social media for his actions. #drake #hiphop #metoo #instagood #feminism @champagnepapi
In light of the countless sexual assault stories coming out in the news lately, it’s very refreshing to see such a famous face stepping up to publicly slam the sleazy.
