These Boot-ies Were Made For Walking
I’m totally digging booties for this fall…
Get your mind out of the gutter, I don’t mean your rear end (though there’s nothing wrong with a little junk in the trunk), I mean boots! And I’m not talking about just any old boot…no, not your staple, knee high boot or oh-so-sexy, over-the-knee boot; I’m referring to the ankle hugging, hip and stylish ‘bootie’.
I just bought my first pair and when I slip them on, I’m not ashamed to say that I feel a little empowered…no, seriously. They add an instant dose of “fashionista” to one’s style, especially when paired with the right ensemble. They’re the kind of shoe that once you buy them and wear them, you wonder how you ever got dressed without them being an option in your closest. I think they look sexy and sophisticated with a straight, above-the-knee skirt, fitted top and loose jacket or blazer. Stacy London of TLC’s What Not to Wear, I’m totally channeling you!
Sporting the booties is one thing—but finding the perfect pair is another. In fact, it took me quite a long time to find the right price point and fit before I purchased my modest yet chic Nine West black leather booties.
If you’re in the market for a pair of booties, here are my top five picks. Love them or hate them, they’re everywhere!
1. ALDO, $90.00
2. NINE WEST, $109.00
3. STEVE MADDEN, $129.95
4. STUART WEITZMAN, $355.00
5. CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN, $965.00
