Fashion Match-Up I Can’t Wait to See

Fashion Match-Up I Can’t Wait to See

Being an avid reader of fashion blogs, women’s glossy mags and the industry trade pub, Women’s Wear Daily (Hey, don’t judge! It’s what I doooooo.), I was more than a little pleased to read that designer Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss has teamed up with Charlotte Ronson to create a line called “Shoshanna Made With Love Charlotte Ronson.”

“Who are these chicks?” you ask? Well, Shoshanna is most famous for being the 18-year-old girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld back in the day (remember, he spotted her outside of her NYC boarding school?) and Charlotte is the sister to Samantha Ronson (Lindsay Lohan’s ex-lover and DJ) and Mark Ronson (another DJ/singer) and is currently a very successful fashion designer. I was trying desperately to track down these cool bracelets designed by a Teen Vogue editor and she told me she sells her bracelets exclusively to Charlotte for her boutique in NYC. I know Charlotte’s line and her boutiques are well-regarded.

All the write-ups claim that Shoshanna and Charlotte are friends from high school but something tells me they weren’t that great of friends and are sort of using that as their new line’s “PR hook.” It’s ok though – I have a very high level of respect for Shoshanna and think this line has the potential to be very cool. Yes, Jerry helped to make Shoshanna famous BUT, her signature fashion line is out-of-this-world. Super high quality, preppy-meets-classy looks. She’s sort of in line with Tory Burch. I can spot a Shoshanna frock from miles away and just love it all. I’m not as familiar with Charolotte Ronson’s stuff but it appears to be a lot more L.A. boho meets NYC hipster-ish. Regardless, I think this is a match made in heaven and cannot wait to see it in person. Until it’s available in Bloomie’s, Saks and on, I may have to snag the only things that appear to be selling in advance online – a couple random swimsuits and a cover-up available on
