“But First, Let Me Take a Selfie”
The rise of the selfie does not seem to be ending anytime soon. We’ve had selfie sticks, LuMee cases and even a song about taking a selfie. Now Coca-Cola, a company that always seems to develop innovative and viral marketing campaigns, is jumping on the selfie bandwagon with a “selfie bottle.”

Created by Coca-Cola Israel and Gefen Team, a Tel Aviv agency, the bottle has a built-in camera at its base that snaps a pic when the bottle is tilted at 70-degrees (the normal tilt for drinking). The selfies are then uploaded to the user’s Snapchat and Coca-Cola Israel’s Facebook and Instagram. This was originally designed for the Summer Love event, the largest outdoor brand event in Israel. I think it’s the perfect accessory for all party-goers, so you don’t have to stop the fun to snap a pic and share with friends. Not sure this would always produce the most flattering photos (Kim K, is that a good angle?), but I could see this taking off. As Refinery29 noted, “Imagine, for example, if the Kardashians had this on their babies’ bottles.”
I think we might have just found the new selfie stick.
