In what Allure calls Alessandro Michele’s “latest chef d’oeuvre, Gucci Beauty has relaunched after several years off the market with Thomas de Kluyver at the helm, a Global Makeup Artist and a line of 58 lipsticks that nod to old Hollywood glamour and a typical Gucci-esque “eccentric nostalgia.” This explains the series of vintage vanity tables @guccibeauty has been posting on Instagram lately, along with more, well.. eccentric pieces of nostalgia like TV dinners.

And of course, since we’re talking Alessandro Michele, Gucci Beauty didn’t just launch with some pretty vintage pictures. Certo, Michele launched Gucci Beauty’s new range of lipsticks with a bang and with some “controversy” by using Musician Dani Miller of Surfbort as the face of the campaign (Miller happens to have some funky teeth). The comments on the post range from supportive to downright rude (who raised these people, I have no idea) but in terms of engagement – the post got triple the likes and more than 10x the comments compared to other posts. I’d call that success, as an IG girl myself. 😉

Also, yes, I do have seven Gucci lipsticks in my shopping cart right now. Don’t judge me.
