This is a story about a girl named… Cinderella? Sorry, Lucky, but you got the boot. It’s time to break out all the Britney classics like “Hit Me Baby One More Time” and “Crazy,” because they are taking the big stage. And no, I don’t mean the MTV VMA’s — I mean Broadway. Yes, the place where you see names like “Chicago” and “Wicked” in sparkling lights is getting a new addition to the line-up and it’s featuring everything Britney, b*tch.

“Once Upon A One More Time” is the latest in entertainment to combine feminism, fairytales, and a fierce icon. The four classic princesses have put a new spin on happily ever after. Upon receiving The Feminine Mystique from one hip fairly godmother, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Repunzel begin to discover the world of independence. As if that isn’t enough to get your attention, all of the music is composed of 23 classic Britney Spears hits. Sorry, evil stepmother, but Cinderella is no longer a “Slave 4 U.”

While this masterpiece isn’t set to hit the Big Apple until December, I’ll be playing “Womanizer” in the back of my head at any mention of the name “Prince Charming” in the meantime. So, Evil Queen (who I hope draws inspiration from Phyllis Schlafly), put down that poison apple of oppression, because these princesses are “stronger than yesterday.”
