Isn’t It Every Girl’s Dream to be a Witch?
In the December/January cover story of Nylon magazine, Glee star Diana Agron reveals that she used to dabble in witchcraft as a teenager. She says that she would put on “all these Stevie Nicks outfits, gypsy-dance” and “have séances” with her friends who’d mix up potions from leftovers in the fridge.
Not to call a sister out, but that shit is WEAK!
As a teenager locked away at an all-girls boarding school (disclaimer: hyperbole), my friends and I would watch The Craft and plan out trips to Salem, MA where we’d gather essential herbs and perform actual Wiccan induction ceremonies in one of my friends’ basements. Though we were never able to levitate or cause another girl’s hair to fall out (without the old mean girl trick of Nair in conditioner—I swear we never!), it did provide us with at least a few months of entertainment. And when you look at what 14- and 15-year olds are doing to get their kicks these days, I’d say my dip into witchcraft was positively innocent.
