Let There Be Bacon [Substitute]

Eureka! The best discovery (probably ever) has been made in the field of food and science. A seaweed with all the nutritional benefits of kale (and more thankyouverymuch) and none of the nasty taste has been created! Not only does this new strain of red seaweed called dulse pack a healthy punch with elements like minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and protein, it apparently tastes like bacon.
Thanks to the exploration of Chris Langdon, a researcher at Oregon State University, this new strain of dulse is now patented and poised for commercial production (with some investment help). And at this very moment chefs and researchers are working on ways to incorporate this delicious superfood into recipes, particularly targeting the vegan and vegetarian markets… AKA those poor souls who have opted out from enjoying one of life’s greatest indulgences.
So I say, bring on the “Everything tastes better with dulse” t-shirts, mugs, whatever other paraphernalia and let’s get this tasty alternative in to replace the poison they call kale into my grocery aisle, please!
