Growing up, I was all about that Disney princess life. Some days, I’d dream about having a huge ass library in a castle in the hills of France (jk, I had no clue at that age that Beauty & the Beast took place there). The next, I’d be searching the kitchen cabinets for a fork to brush my hair just like Ariel.

Therefore – when I spotted an article that had recently gone viral where 5-year-olds were told to dress up for Princess Day at their dance school, I immediately had to see what all the excitement was about.

While it looks like everyone got the memo to dress like a princess, one little gal said, “Screw this, I’m dressing like a hot dog.” And seriously, I couldn’t be more jealous.

Yes, I love Disney princesses. Yes, the little sparkly dresses are so cute & I’ll admit, I had several growing up. But to throw that aside and be all like “Nah, I want to be different. I’m about the hot dog life.” Well, I don’t really know what could top that.

My favorite part? The little girl’s dance teacher told BuzzFeed that “She loves princesses, but she wanted to be original and wear a hot dog costume instead. She wore a princess costume underneath it and said she was a princess on the inside!”

Methinks Disney smells a new franchise in the making!
