Making a Mockery of Thanksgiving, One Turkey at a Time

If you’ve ever tried corn pudding, or any of the other cream-drenched veggie dishes popular on Southern dinner tables, you can appreciate why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (my family is also a hoot, so that doesn’t hurt either). So why does TGD, a fast-casual restaurant serving up Turkey Day eats year-round, make me die a little inside? Come on, is nothing sacred anymore? Though seemingly innocuous, this place reduces Thanksgiving dinner to on-the-go meals and drunk grub.  The idea of eating turkey, stuffing and all the fixings to sop up a hangover just doesn’t feel right—I much prefer my melatonin with a side of Maker’s Mark and some good conversation among family.
