Last Friday morning I sat down to write a new blog post
I opened up The Boston Globe as it intrigued me the most
What I was going to write about I just could not be sure
So instead I decided to take you on guided tour.

The front page bored us with news about the T system’s demise
Recession lows, Jewish agency blows
And Cheney: “Obama’s ill-advised.”

The nation’s news included clues re: taxpayer data found in trash
SC Governor sued his own state, there’s sure to be backlash.
Another Iraq bomb attack was heard around the World
The right to die, in South Korea, has finally been unfurled.

In Metro news, opposing views escalate on Beacon Hill
Accounts of a recent Harvard shooting elicit a chill
Is it a go for Menino? Flaherty, McCrea or Yoon?
N.H.’s set to vote again on gay marriage in June.

In Business the front page seemed to bring good news all around
Retail cuts, WBZ’s glut and Mass foreclosures down.
In Sports the Red Sox’s Jason Bay is hailed as Guiding Light
Bob Ryan says Dice-K’s back, his future looking bright.

Was disappointed to see Tila Tequila’s mug on the opening page of G
But loved the news and all reviews of the Arts & Humanities.
That’s all folks – we made good time – good news, some of it blue
But certainly par for the course when reading the daily news.
