One Strong Shot of Beyoncé, Coming Right Up
Don’t you just love a good tribute performance? I can get behind anyone that’s trying to pay homage to an artist they admire AS LONG AS they do them justice (strict terms that should always be followed).
I recently discovered a YouTube sensation that has gone above and beyond with his tribute to Queen Bey. Let me introduce you to Todrick Hall, 30-year-old Texan and ex-American Idol competitor who recently posted a video of himself singing five Beyoncé albums in four minutes. That’s over 70 songs. What’s more? It’s nothing short of amazing. The video has quickly gone viral, having received coverage from TIME, Good Morning America and New York Magazine within its first 24 hours of existence.
I’m going to go ahead and say it – I’m “Crazy in Love” with this “Flawless” performance and think that Todrick has just singlehandedly won the Ultimate American Idol title in the hearts of true (Bey worshiping) citizens of the U-S-of-A. Amiright????
