The holiday season is a time for traditions, but this year, it seems that many of those comforts have fallen to the wayside. For instance, it was recently announced that none of the Peanuts holiday specials would be airing on TV due to a partnership that entailed the specials stream exclusively on Apple TV+.

Once this news was announced, people who had made watching these specials a tradition took to social media to express their disappointment. A petition was posted to, receiving more than 260,000 signatures.

Now before you mutter a “good grief,” there’s some good news! PBS confirmed that A Charlie Brown Christmas would be broadcasting in the coming weeks. The holiday special is set to air on both PBS and PBS Kids on Sunday, December 13th at 7:30pm. Viewers will also be able to watch the film for free on Apple TV from December 11th through December 13th.

Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries. If you’re looking to invest past the holiday season, the service costs $4.99 per month and is available on both the Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices.
