It’s Pumpkin Spice Season… Whether I Like It Or Not

Despite temperatures remaining in the high 80s and low 90s, I’ve seen not one, but TWO women donning UGG boots last month — and I don’t think it’s because they couldn’t wait to show off their new Classic IIs. While these two isolated incidents definitely offended my sensibilities and made me wish that summer would last at least another three months, it seems that everyone else, including UGG and General Mills, is ready for fall.

Slated to hit shelves any day now, General Mills is the latest food conglomerate to jump on the PSL trend that Starbucks oh-so-successfully started over a decade ago. While I like a good pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner as much as the next girl, it’s not something I want to ingest in solid or liquid form at 9am. Ever. Call me plain Jane, but I’ll be sticking with my original cheerios and regular latte, regardless of the season.
