Redefining Comfort Food

As 2020 continues its dark descent into the abyss of a previously unimaginable hell, all any of us wants these days is a mere fleeting moment of respite from the doom and gloom. Also, pizza.
Enter the fine folks at Brooklyn-based Vinnie’s Pizzeria. Recently, this life-affirming establishment began offering a delightful addition to its takeout menu: Comforting Words. That’s right, for the nominal cost of $1.00, a Vinnie’s delivery driver will “look you straight in the eyes and tell you ‘EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE OK AND YOU’RE DOING THE BEST YOU CAN.” Music to my ears!
This brilliantly simple and quirky offering that cost the beloved local pizza joint nothing to execute made regional and national headlines due to its perfectly timed introduction to ease the pain of our long national nightmare.
At a time when the world has gone mad and could do with a little TLC, hats off to Vinnie’s for identifying and giving the people what they need most. After all, with great pizza comes great responsibility.
