On my birthday last year (FYI, it’s today…queue up those Facebook well wishes everyone!), TreeHugger announced a new recycling and frequent buyer program at Kiehl’s…Feliz Cumpleanos to me!

I’ve been a fan of the au naturale apothecary since high school — simple, neutralizing, solid packaging and well-priced…works for me. The year-old program encourages Kiehl’s lovers to turn in their empties to rack up rewards. Three products = a lip balm. Bring in two more, you get yourself a travel product. After 10 total you cash in for a full-sized product…then start the fun all over again! Let’s just say it’s been a rewarding 12 months!

Now, as my friend Julia pointed out, wouldn’t it be nice if they implemented this program for Ketel One!
