A Chain for All Seasons…and Calorie Counters, Alike.

Despite the fact that I worked at Applebee’s for about four years, I’m not the biggest fan of chain restaurants. So when I was visiting my Aunt in Florida last month and she suggested we have our final lunch at her favorite chain, I wasn’t super excited. My Aunt is an avid counter of points (and calories) through the Weight Watchers program. At this point, who isn’t? Most of the marlo m/c office is on some kind of diet, calorie counting, natural food eating, or weird vitamin taking regimen. When she explained to me that every entrée is under 475 calories (or 9 points max for you WW participants) I was definitely intrigued and agreed to spend my final FL hour at Seasons 52.

From the same company that brought us Olive Garden, Seasons 52 is an upscale grill and wine bar that uses natural cooking techniques, good carbs, lean meats, and beneficial oils. The menu is seasonally inspired and changes four times a year, allowing the Chefs to create amazing entrees as the seasons change. As a bonus, all the desserts are single portion sizes and extremely delicious. (Although most are 8 points – be careful.)

As of this moment, Seasons 52 has nine locations – seven in Florida and two in Atlanta. Hopefully, like Olive Garden, this restaurant will expand and open locations all across the US. How about coming to Boston and opening in the Copley Mall? The old Chili’s spot is still available!
