As I was reading the April issue of People StyleWatch, I came across my next “must-have” item. Customizable Prada sunglasses; yes, my fellow fashionistas, you can now score monogrammed designer shades.

Although I don’t consider myself a prepster, I am a sucker for monograms. Within the past few months, I’ve added at least four monogrammed items to my wish list (these are on hold ‘til September due to my impending nuptials and new monogram!). From jewelry boxes at Pottery Barn to Louis Vuitton luggage to trendy necklaces, it’s official—I am obsessed with sporting my initials.

PradaPrivate is Prada’s new collection of monogrammable sunglasses, which allows you to put your initials or cute symbols like stars on the bands of your shades. Starting at around $365, these are definitely an investment piece (honestly, this can be a great justification for many purchases!), but typically, sunglasses have a long life if you take care of them. Added cool factor: you can purchase a variety of removable plaques that can be switched out at any moment, so if you don’t want to rock your initials one day, you can opt for skulls or hearts instead.
