Snack and Go

Got the munchies after a night out? On your way to the airport and forgot your headphones? Don’t worry, your Uber has it handled.
The popular rideshare service has announced an exclusive partnership with Cargo, a start-up company that supplies car services with uber-delicious snacks to sell to riders. The concept is simple – Cargo provides drivers with a mini vending machine-like box of goodies and riders scan the code on the box to gain full access to the menu of what’s inside. Operating since 2017, the company claims to connect brands with “the rideshopper, allowing product sampling, selling and content engagement with riders.” AKA, Uber will be your personal traveling grocery store (minus the booze and frozen foods, of course). Items can range from potato chips to mints to Beats headphones, and some products are even free!
Just recently launched in San Francisco, the program is soon to be available in Boston, NYC, Los Angeles and Chicago, among others.
Way to go, Cargo! Thanks for keeping our stomachs satisfied and giving us a conversation starter to limit those awkward Uber convos.
