Recently, pop sensation Taylor Swift has taken on a new role in the public eye. After announcing in an Instagram post her political standing for the upcoming election, she’s decided to make it her mission to encourage young people to vote and be heard. She declared she would be supporting democratic views, specifically the rights of under-represented citizens. Of course this then prompted President Trump to say he liked her music “25% less” (go figure).

If you watched the AMAs, you witnessed Taylor devote her acceptance speech to encouraging her fans, who consist primarily of young people, to participate in the upcoming midterm election. Now, I haven’t exactly been a big T-Swift fan, but I have to say I’m starting to come around. Go OFF, girl!

If you live in Massachusetts, it’s the last day to register to vote. So, whether you agree with Taylor’s political views or not, make sure you register and get to the polls on November 6th to share your voice!
