Matthew Evans joins marlo marketing in October 2016, bringing visual passion and critical thinking to every agency client. With over 15 years’ experience in design, production, illustration, web and interface design and development, consumer packaging and merchandising, he is driven by innovative design that works. From branding strategy to a complex communications campaign spanning many touch-points, his approach to creative design is driven by objective observation and uniquely creative executions. At marlo marketing, Matthew directs the strategy and development of all print collateral, advertising, on-line marketing and social media.
Matthew was previously creative director at Motiv in Boston and Moosylvania in St. Louis; a senior designer at Holland-Mark and Paradowski Creative in St. Louis; and was for seven years a professor of typography at the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He has worked on a vast range of projects for clients including Citibank, American Express, Monsanto, Bacardi, Mass Mutual, iRobot, Keurig, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Boston Opera Collaborative and the Humane Society, among many others.
The recipient of multiple American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Awards, Matthew has been exhibited in shows nationally and internationally. His free time is filled with cooking at home, dining around Boston, and the occasional craft or fine art project. Matthew is a graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Art.
