Tebow Steps Up To The Plate

Being from Boston, it’s basically a written law that you have to root for Boston teams and players. Within that rule, there is an addendum that states that once a Boston player is traded or leaves and club, they’re excommunicated. If you don’t believe me, go to a Red Sox v. Yankees game and see what happens when Jacoby Ellsbury steps up to plate.
Among the long list of players that have been excommunicated lies someone that even outside of Boston is a person that people love to hate – Tim Tebow. Standing at 6’3”, Tim Tebow is a lot of things; an ex-football player (yup we Pats fans still hate you), a philanthropist, a broadcaster, celibate (still playing that card, really?) and now – a baseball player.
According to recent news, Tebow decided that he wanted to try his hand with the wooden bat and held a casual open tryout and invited all 30 MLB teams to attend. And he actually got signed! Okay, to the minor league, but still. This month, Tebow will begin his baseball career with the New York Mets’ fall instructional league. Let’s just hope he is better at baseball than he was at football..
What’s next, Tebow? The Bachelor?
