I admittedly and unabashedly love Harry Potter. Not just the books, mind you. I mean I’m in love with the fictional character, The Boy Who Lived, The Chosen One, the one and only Harry Potter. Since the age of 11 when I began reading the books, I’ve devoured each volume voraciously within a week of its release. Yes, dear readers, I’m that girl who marks her calendar with the next book release, who attends the midnight showing of each Harry Potter movie, who has read each novel twice (plus another time after that). I think you get the picture.

So it should come as no surprise now, on the heels of its June 18 opening, that I have set my sights on the next level of Harry Potter fandom – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The long-awaited theme park has finally opened its doors, and initial reports confirm what I’ve long known to be true – this place is going to blow your f-ing mind. The 20-acre park boasts real-life interpretations of Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Village, complete with talking paintings, chocolate frogs, even butterbeer. J.K. Rowling herself approved every minute detail, giving the attraction her seal of authenticity.
