It’s no secret that as of recently, athleisure clothing as well as boutique fitness studios and healthy eating are major trends. And I think we’re all in agreement here that Lululemon was the pioneer brand to push their clothing as not only functional for workouts but also extremely comfortable and stylish for when you just need to spend a lazy Sunday in bed or run errands all over town. And I must admit I do live in my Align leggings every weekend.

However, with such a cult following, how is a brand like Lululemon expected to raise the bar when they’re pretty much already at the top? I give you: The Lululemon Experience.

The first-of-its-kind store opened in Chicago on July 11th and includes mass amounts of Lululemon merch, two fitness studios, a meditation center (because wasn’t this all supposed to be about yoga or something?), and a café. Consumers can even sample new gear while they take a HIIT or yoga class and test out how it holds up against their workout before they make a purchase.

But, the most important aspect of this experience: the food. No one wants to shop while they’re hangry. So, the Fuel Space will be the main attraction to ensure customers leave with bellies full and wallets empty. And the café has only the trendiest of menu items such as smoothies, acai bowls and avocado toast, just to name a few.

As much as I hate to admit it, I would be all over this store if I stepped foot in Chicago. So, kudos to you, Lululemon — your efforts to stay most relevant by incorporating the most popular fitness trends into one location will surely pay off in more than just sports bra sales!
