At the awkward age of fourteen when most girls were flipping through the pages of Cosmo and playing Truth or Dare, I was memorizing the words to Bohemian Rhapsody. My friend Natalie and I would walk to her place after school, sign on to and study the words meticulously. Each day we would memorize a new clause until we reached the point where we no longer needed to log on to the trashy website with creepy porn pop-ups and just sing along with Freddie Mercury.

Here I am, ten years later, and I still remember every word to the bizarre classic and am not ashamed to grab a hairbrush mic and “sing” (screech) along while I am getting ready for a night out (sorry roomies!). As if my Friday night pregames weren’t already cool enough, I just stepped up my game thanks to my fav rocker dudes from Queen who released a Bohemian Rhapsody beer! Game changer.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of Bohemian Rhapsody, the gang released Bohemian Lager. The Guardian says that “it’s also perhaps appropriate, given that the people who’ve drunk too much lager often believe they can re-create the operatic midsection of Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Believe that they can create the operatic midsection…?? B&tch, I know I can! And anyone who saw me flawlessly perform BR recently during karaoke night at The Nun on The Cape knows so.

Alright, so no one can really perform Bohemian Rhapsody as beautifully as Queen, but I can’t wait to try out this new brew and step up my karaoke skills. Cape Cod, watch out, because my karaoke game just reached a whole new level.
