Tie It In a Bow

Tie It In a Bow

While reading through the October issue of allure, I fell in love.

It was on a crisp, white page — page 126, to be exact — that it happened. The Insiders’ Guide, which never fails a beauty & fashion lover, did it again. Meet my latest accessories crush — Emi-Jay’s shredded satin bow hair elastics. Preppy yet sophisticated, noticeable yet understated — everything a must-have hair tie should be.

The Satin Bow Collection consists of hair ties made with “a soft, stretchy material that’s been hand-dyed and hand-knotted.” They come in a variety of colors, all of which are versatile…and by versatile, I mean black, champagne, grey and blush pink — the perfect colors to dress up any outfit.

Now, let’s talk about the bow — clearly, my favorite part of these hair ties. Nothing equates femininity like a good, old-fashioned bow. For those of you who don’t want to look five years old or fear a Lady Gaga-esque bow on top of your head — don’t worry. The Emi-Jay bows are super chic because they’re made of hand frayed silk satin but they have rough, uneven edges that give you a trendy look rather than that of a Stepford Wife. And, rest assured, they’re small in size — no Mini Mouse-style accessories here.

Want to fall in love too? I’ll share my crush…Emi-Jay accessories are available for purchase online.
