UberCopter, Enough Said.
I’m all about rolling up to an event in style. But Uber, the private driver app, is taking that to a whole new level.
To coincide with the Cannes Film Festival, Uber launched UberCOPTER. Yes, it’s exactly what you think. For a mere 160 euros (that’s $182 USD), you’ll get picked up, driven to the closest helipad and then flown to your destination (well, to the nearest helipad… they can’t just land anywhere).
We’ve got our fingers crossed that the sky high service makes its way to Boston. Just imagine… you’re hanging at the marlo marketing office, waiting for the next available Uber car. The nearest driver is 15 minutes away and you know there will be a shit ton of traffic just to get across town to that magazine party you’re attending. Tick, tock, tick, tock… damn it, there’s too many other people trying to order an Uber car! … “Ah, screw it, let’s just get a chopper!”
When it comes to the war of the taxis, Uber definitely takes the lead with this one.
