Ariel joined marlo marketing in 2011 as an Account Director for the agency’s hospitality accounts. In 2014, she became Vice President of the Restaurant & Catering practice, taking on a larger role within the agency’s senior leadership, spearheading strategy for clients, and cultivating the growth of her team.
Prior to joining marlo, Ariel worked in high-tech public relations on the agency side at SHIFT and in-house at DataXu. Having spent most of her youth traveling to hotels across the country with her corporate event-planning mother—as well as working in restaurants ranging from casual seafood shacks to fine dining catering operations—Ariel has always felt at home in the hospitality space. Her role at marlo allows her to marry her professional skills with her personal passions.
Ariel has been instrumental in the development of integrated marketing, public relations and social media initiatives for clients ranging from small fast-casual spots to large national chains, and independent fine dining establishments to growing local restaurant groups. Her natural proclivity for creative brand building combined with warmth, candor and a healthy dose of levity have helped Ariel maintain a stellar portfolio of long-term clients. She has secured top-tier coverage in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Saveur, Food & Wine and many others.
During her time at marlo, Ariel has been involved in over 35 restaurant openings throughout the country.
Originally from Marblehead, Massachusetts, Ariel is a graduate of James Madison University. She is also a 2017 Fellow of UMASS Boston’s Emerging Leaders Program.
