Snooki, JWoww, Pauly, the Situation… Jersey Shore keeps fans wanting more. At least MTV seems to think so, with filming beginning later this month on two Jersey Shore spin-offs featuring popular cast members Snooki, JWoww and Pauly D. For producers however, securing the locations for these shows was almost as difficult as was the Italy lower-case “s” situation. The Shore cast’s time in Florence was nothing short of pure chaos and debauchery; Having been in Florence the day they arrived, I will attest that the sentiment among the Italians was less buon giornio! and more vaffanculo! toward the popular American TV show.

Interestingly, when searching for US cities to host Snooki and JWoww’s new show, producers also faced resistance. Hoboken, known for its plethora of nightlife and eateries, provided a flat-out “no” when asked to be the host city for this lovable duo. Fortunately for JWoww and her little meatball, Jersey City welcomed the girls with open arms in their quest to “look for love and try to make it in the world.” In a Travel + Leisure story on how reality TV influences travel decisions, Real Housewives, The Bachelor and even the Kardashians have the ability to boost visitation; Jersey Shore, not so much. Apparently whoever rubber stamped the girls entrée into JC must’ve missed that issue. But at least the folks in Buffalo can now breathe a sigh of relief!
