Overview
As it approached its 15th anniversary, the Clio brand needed a refresh to maintain its relevancy and remove the vestiges of its ‘fine dining’ reputation. Additionally, adjacent sashimi spot, Uni, sought to strengthen its brand as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city.
Assignment
Without alienating their core group of loyal patrons, attract a new, younger audience to both properties, making them known for playful cuisine, cutting-edge cocktails, significant bar program and sexy, relaxed atmosphere.
Strategy
- Develop 12-month PR program leveraging Clio’s anniversary and minimal renovations into a consistent news pipeline (Clio Classics, Renovation, Alumni Dinner).
- Launch Late Night Ramen concept for Uni to attract younger, hip, late-night audience.
- Create Clio Cocktail Club and new street-food inspired bar bites menu to drive attention and traffic to the bar.
