When family-run SalonCapri celebrated 40 years of business in 2007, the owner recognized the need for an overall brand refresh in order to rejuvenate the operation. Since then, marlo marketing has served as agency of record for the award-winning salon, handling brand positioning, media relations, social media and creative services for all three of its Greater Boston locations.
Assignment
Make SalonCapri stand out from other prestige salons, drive buzz and generate consistent traffic, especially for its coveted Newbury Street location.
Strategy
- Develop a robust calendar of traffic-driving special events, promotions and timely pitch angles to generate year-round awareness for all three salons.
- Position the salon and its stylists as trend leaders by including style reports along with special offers in monthly “Scoops & Steals” customer newsletters.
- Partner with likeminded brands and local businesses to host giveaways and events to generate buzz among additional audiences with nominal investment.
- Entice VIP influencers to serve as brand ambassadors via complimentary services in exchange for social coverage.
