Marlo began marlo marketing in April 2004, after a short but highly impactful career in hospitality PR. An attorney licensed in New York and Massachusetts, she brings a unique skill set and background to the world of marketing. Highly regarded by her clients for her personal approach, her honest, ethical business style, and accessibility, even today Marlo prides herself on becoming a part of her client’s “team.” A firm believer in delivering a rock-solid marketing strategy designed to drive ROI, her approach has become the basis of the agency’s service philosophy.
Marlo supports many non-profits and donates much of the agency’s time to pro-bono PR and marketing work. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston Public Market Association and the Boston Police Activities League, and served as Chairperson of the Outdoor Advertising Board for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2006-2009, at the appointment of Governor Romney.
The agency has won more than 30 communications industry awards including the Silver Bulldog Stars of PR Awards, Small Agency of the Year; Bulldog Digital/Social PR Awards for Excellence in Online Communications and PR News PR People Award. Recognized as a “40 Under 40” by the Boston Business Journal in 2006, the following year she was a Fellow of the UMASS Boston Emerging Leaders Program. In 2019, she was honored by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce with the Pinnacle Award for Achievement in Entrepreneurship.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Marlo is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences.
