Michael joined marlo marketing in 2026 as Vice President, AI & Digital Marketing, where he brings extensive experience in the hospitality space across a nearly three-decade career. At marlo marketing, Michael leads programs across categories that drive sales and ensure visibility across LLMs.
Michael has written several books for hospitality professionals. His latest book, Invisible: What To Do When AI Erases Your Business, examines how structured data, semantic accuracy, and AI readiness now determine whether a business stays discoverable when machines do the searching. Previous books include The AI Literacy Playbook for Hoteliers and Too Many Hats, Too Little Time give teams practical methods for building AI capability. In addition, he writes a regular column for Hospitality Upgrade, covering AI’s effect on revenue management, marketing, distribution, and guest experience. His research on generative AI in talent management has become a reference point for companies rethinking workforce strategy.
Beyond his work with marlo marketing clients, Goldrich teaches generative AI at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and delivers keynotes and executive workshops across the industry. He was recently selected to join HFTP’s Global Board of Directors. He co-chairs HFTP’s AI Collective, a global council that brings together hospitality leaders, academics, associations, and technology partners to develop AI certification, standards, and shared thought leadership. With HSMAI, he serves as president of the Greater New York chapter and sits on the HSMAI Foundation board.
Earlier in his career, he led digital, marketing, and e-commerce transformation for global brands including Starwood, Wyndham, Accenture, Club Quarters Hotels, and The Hotels Network, where he served as Chief Experience Officer. His work has earned Platinum and Gold Adrian Awards, and recognition from HSMAI as one of its Top 25 Extraordinary Minds. In 2026, the International Hospitality Institute named him to its Top 100 Digital Thought Leaders in Hospitality and its Top 100 Social Media Influencers in Global Hospitality.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Arts in Digital Marketing Strategies, Business Communications, Science, Management and Policy from Northwestern University. He lives with his family in New York.
